Streptococcus pneumoniae

Gram positive bacilli with spores (arrows)
"GPB with spores"

Gram positive bacilli without spores
"GPB", "diphtheroids"

Clostridium, Bacillus

 

Lactobacillus, Corynebacterium

Gram negative diplococci (coffee bean shaped)

Neisseria, Moraxella (Branhamella)

Gram negative bacilli

E coli, all enterics, and others

Gram negative pleomorphic bacilli or Gram negative coccobacilli

Haemophilus, Bacteroides

Gram negative curved bacilli

Campylobacter, Vibrio

Oval yeast with or without budding or pseudohyphae (Gram positive)
