Clinical Outreach Electron Microscopy Service Laboratory

Lisa Reeves CT, HT (ASCP)

Services:

  • Processing of Clinical Specimens including biopsy specimens, surgical tissues, and cell preparations for routine transmission electron microscopy.
  • Preparation of thick sections for routine tissue review prior to ultra-microtomy.
  • Ultra-microtomy for production of thin sections.
  • Staining protocols including routine heavy metal stains and negative stains.
  • Production of high resolution images for diagnostic procedures
  • Consultation, with the Director, for pathologists.

Charges:

Fees to be determined after consultation.

 

Carol Moskos EMS and HT (ASCP)

Mrs. Reeves is a board certified Cytotechnologist and Histotechnologist. She has over 25 years of experience in the Pathology Laboratory. She also has prior experience as a Pathologist Assistant. Her extensive knowledge of gross dissection and cellular morphology make her an asset to the Electron Microscopy Core Facility. Her goal is to maintain the level of excellence that has been set forth by this facility.
